El Sendero

El Sendero farm is managed by Andres Martinez and was pretty dope NGL. Part of Unblended's goal is to connect young producers with older mentors. Andres is a mentor for them and is helping set up future farmers.

This coffee stood out from the samples I requested in that it was incredibly floral. Learn more about this coffee at Unblended.

I have several goals that I want to achieve with this coffee and with the Recruitment Lot. The two big ones are (1) get comfortable in discovering my roast style with the tools available to me and (2) understand what it means to own a small business.

Full transparency, juggling a full-time job, marriage, a 1-year-old and starting a life in a new continent, feels ambitious. But it feels right. So, I'm taking my time, and going at the pace that fits me and my family best. And that is what it’s always been for me: having fun with what I do and being able to pass it on to the next generation. Which, given this coffee, is not too far from what Unblended is doing.
